Education
Overview: Education is very much valued in Zambia, although it is not required. Many Zambians attend pre-school, and at least start primary school. However, few finish primary school. In order for the students to advance to secondary school, they must first pass exams that prove that they are educated enough to attend. Unfortunately, most Zambians can not afford to attend secondary school, so usually only the oldest children are sent to be educated. Overall, Zambia greatly values education, and teachers are considered community leaders and are very much respected.
